How to make payments:
A sponsor can either choose to pay per term or yearly depending
on whichever is convenient for him/her but either way the child
would be still supported fully and accordingly with his/her educational
needs at school for the whole academic year. There are three terms
in Kenya running in the whole academic year calendar. As below:-
1st Term starts in the first week of January.
2nd Term starts in the first week of May.
3rd term starts in the first week of September.
So the mode of payments would be that the sponsor sends in money
before the first week of the months of each amounting to US$ 65
and the child he/she sponsors would get ready for school when
the terms begin. By this time the money would be available to
buy all the school materials for that particular term and by this
way we shall be ensuring efficiency in the program.
What the sponsor get in return:
We shall be sending to the sponsors of each of the children some
progress report of his/her sponsored child at the end of each
term in Kenya. This would be in terms of 1.Copy of school report
form,2. Letter from the child to her/his sponsor, 3.Drawings to
the sponsor 4. Receipts of the purchases made for the materials
the child got in the entire term. This would be done as a matter
of appreciation and it would help the sponsor to see if at all
he/she is making a difference in the kid’s life and to monitor
the progress of his/her sponsored child. These would be sent once
every four months when the school terms end in Kenya. (We have
three terms in Kenya and they do end in the end months of April,
July and November)
1. Copy of School end term report form to show the sponsored
child progress at school.
2. A letter from her/his sponsored child
3. Drawings from her/his sponsored child
4. Receipts of purchases made and fees payments for her/his sponsored
child.
All these would be snail mailed to the sponsor of the child via
post office box number that he/she had submitted to us. The sponsor
too is allowed to send gifts like that would be necessary for
her sponsored child in Kenya. These can also be mailed via post
office to the box number of the program and the sponsor has to
clearly indicate the name and the ID number of the child he/she
is sending these gifts to. Also it’s possible for the sponsors
to send emailed letters to their sponsored child who would be
printed and sent to the child, this would allow that frequent
contact between the child and the sponsor. It would be a very
interesting event ion deed to both parties and they would be happy
to be in touch and the sponsor would be very happy to be touching
the life of a desperate Nyakach orphaned child.
